This poem is about being in quarantine as a raging epidemic (COVID-19) is changing our lives and eventually our world as well.
It has begun. I’ve started my first fasting session and it’s almost over. Thanks to the quarantine and two weeks of home office I can reset my body and mind – hopefully once and for all.
This day is of special significance. I have been waiting for this for quite a long time: today I finally felt I’m back on track, ready to fight and climb back to the top.
I have devoted 2020 to learning languages: Russian and Spanish. Throughout university years I used to study 4 languages simultaneously: Russian, Spanish, German and Italian besides teaching English. I also studied Japanese for 2 years.
Today was the first day after such a long time. The first day to finally step on this rough and difficult road to happiness.
There are certain points in life when you set your goals and you have to choose between your dreams. I wouldn’t consider this failing yourself but it’s just a matter of perspective.
This poem Words are the keys to worlds describes how I felt right before my Russian language exam…
The past two years have proved me wrong in many ways. I thought I had learnt from my past mistakes only to fall for them all over again.
This has been a wonderful journey. I have pushed myself to my limits in the past few months and I have acquired a lot in the meanwhile. I would say learning languages is fun, but right now I feel anything but fun.
I have been learning languages all my life long. I have always set goals I found challenging and demanding, so I took up more and more languages.
